Rock Harbour to Lane Cove:   6.9 miles. Lane Cove is off the beaten path; it was by far the least crowded,  prettiest, and more private campsite.

Lane Cove to McCargoe: 13 miles  We met a very interesting woman at McCargoe who comes regularly to the island and also a parcel of kids. Nice campground, we saw a beaver here.

McCargoe to Todd Harbour: 6.7 miles.  We scheduled fewer miles this day because the Minong Ridge was supposed to be harder, but it wasn't. The campground was nice but because another trail ran parallel to the main trail, it wasn't as private as some of the other campsites.

Todd Harbour to West Chickenbone: 12 miles: we had originally planned to only go to Hatchett, but we decided to come back a day earlier and do two days in one. So we had breakfast at Hatchett and moved along to West Chickenbone.   A moose walked waded in the water right past out tents and then started eating from the bottom of the lake. I was woken up about 4 the next morning by a fox staring into my eyes.  We really liked W. Chickenbone.

West Chickenbone to Daisy Farm: 7.5 miles:  We decided to get closer so that the last day we would easily make the boat. We would have made it even from a further campsite.

Daisy Farm to Rock Harbor: 7.5 miles. Along the way was Suzy's Cave--it was really fun to climb through and over. Even more fun was the fact that I made new friends: Nick and Brittany.
