1 to 3 July: Lima Suburbs and flight home

We stayed at the Flying Dog Hostel in Miraflores. The first day we walked around Miraflores, mostly towards the ocean where there are a number of trails overlooking the cliff and the ocean.

Paddington

We explored a shopping mall built into the cliff.

We also spent time hanging out in the park right across from our hotel.

The next day we took an Uber to Barranco where we walked around a little.

Then we had lunch in an old railroad car

before walking along the ocean back to Mireflores

and then walking back up to the top of the cliff near where we had been the previous day and the to the pyramid located in Miraflores.

Since it wasn't open, we walked around it and looked at it through the fence. Then we had dessert at the Raw Cafe and walked back to our hostel.

Our flight left around 11pm. The one thing we discovered is that Spirit takes away all drinks right before you board the plane, and they don't seem to have a plan to allow you to rehydrate. I also discovered going through customs again in Florida for my next flight that bringing a powdery substance, namely Peruvian salt, causes great alarm to customs agents which causes great delays. Not an ideal situation when the next flight is scheduled to leave in a few minutes But I made my flight anyway. The doors were closed almost immediately after I entered.
