Tuesday, April 17: I walked in the morning while Regina cooked, and Annemarie got ready for a conference on the weekend. After I walked to the Quelle, I hiked along the old railroad path (now a paved bike/walkway) about halfway to Olpe through the Wegeringhausen tunnel  long tunnel which is 724 meters (a little less than a half mile) and then a little way along the path up the hill.

But I was running out of time and had to turn back to be at Regina’s by 1 for Mittagessen which was a curry with pineapple, chicken and mushrooms over rice. In the afternoon we took the car just beyond Belmicke where we walked in the  Geislingen hills to a nice overlook.

After Mittagessen, we drove to Belmicke and hiked through the woods for a couple of hours.

After that we drove to Milchtankstelle, a hut with a vending machine near a dairy farm that sold empty bottles, fresh noodles, and eggs and an automatic milk dispensing machine for raw milk.

Then we drove to Drolshagen where we ate ice cream in the main square.
