Our Bus |
Once in St. Ignacio we took a collectivo taxi to the Parrot Nest in Bullet Falls. Then we hung out in Bullet Tree Falls for the rest of the day.
I was hoping that this would be a fabric store, but instead it sold items that had been sewn. Disappointing! |

I walked around the village, finding a small food stand at the edge of the road.
Margaret, the girl who worked there, took me to her house and showed me her embroidery and introduced me to her mother, Manuella. Her house was really interesting--one walked in to the living room which had 2 doors on either side that appeared to be bedrooms. At the back was a large kitchen with a door to the outside. Outside was a large patio with a cooking area at the back in which a wood fire was burning. There was a roof overtop the entire area. Beyond that was a large chicken coop built on a hill with chickens and turkeys inside and ducks outside.
