We left for Vienna, driving through Brno,

 the second largest city in Czech Republic.

 We had an entire apartment to ourselves in Austria--the grand kids had a bunk bed. My nephew and his wife just happened to be traveling to Vienna the same time as we were, so we met them at another relative's place just outside of Vienna where we all had dinner and started plans for a more extensive family reunion. Since we had extra time we stopped by the local hardware store where we picked up a device for slicing cakes and a pair of children's rain boots in a smaller size than can normally be found back home.
